    Of course the thing to remember long term is that the market rises about 10% per year on a total return basis.

    If you stay in the market long term, and stay in long funds, you will win. Just stay in. ALF have shown the win more than lose with changing market exposure so that's a bonus. In other words, they have beat the 10% average on average

    I like to trade the LIC discounts/premiums for bonus returns.
