1 year chart

Interesting spike today (4th May - see the one year chart). From what I can tell based on a very limited number of gold mining companies this is unusual.

I would guess (and it's only a guess)
Some news is coming
or
Someone has given a buy recommendation
or...
Any body's guess.

I suppose I should have sold today in the hope the SP will come down when the hype (if there is any) has cooled off. I don't have a big holding and may buy a few more if and when the SP drops.
