Assuming this RTO proceeds -and the indications are that it will - with Peter largely gone and Paige likely to follow once the new controllers have a suitable person of their own to put in (of course they might choose to leave Paige there, though I doubt it), and with the emphasis very likely to swing hard to property in Aus., I am wary for my holding which - whilst not of the size of GD or Srebrna is still quite significant for me by my standards - because of the likelihood that the Chinese (whilst obviously they will want to retain the listing which I imagine is the raison d'etre of this whole exercise) will/may use consolidation as a tool to further strengthen their stranglehold on FNT and to eliminate any 'annoyances'. Going to be a lot of shares on issue if the Forise deal is ratified.
Pertinant examples of existing holders coming under pressure include what has been going on with PanAust/Hig/Freida River over two years now. No benevolent societies when the Chinese go into projects.

Like many others my entry prices are high (5 and over), so though the alarm bells have been ringing for me I have made a decision to hang in in the expectation that when Forise inject something into FNT the SP will do the right thing for once and the long termers (and others) may finally see some benefit.
While Peter did say Forise are uncommunicative to the degree he himself really had scant idea how they intended to move, he was hopeful that they would produce something substantial. It was not clear to me what he/Paige intended to do after they come out of the semi escrow they are in , but that will become apparent later. The Paige shares yesterday were pre this "agreement", so their holding strategy in the longer term is still open, one might think.

If I had to guess this whole Forise thing will be very largely about Real Property, and less about PNG, but who really knows. The Orient Express was a great train in its early days, but as was shown in "Murder on the" O E, it took a long time to get where it was going. So will Forise.

    Have a nice day all.
