$50mill pa. would equate to 30c per share pa., and this would not happen until sometime in the future (someone suggested 2016/17). Nice to see the deposit commercialised at last but I can't see this putting a rocket under the share price. If we do a similar deal on the Western Hub deposits then we essentially become an annuity company, with the prospect of then developing Maitland with FMG, and presumably FMG providing a large part of the funding. We have no say on the timing of any of the "annuity style" cash flows, so the market will not be keen to invest until there is some certainty for these cash flows. It's not a compelling investment case for the shareholder. I think I would rather be in FMG. I wonder what Kerry Stokes wants out of all this?
