I understand Suncorp have already made a public announcement to the extent that - yes, they do have considerable reinsurance cover for their Qld insurance exposure and have budgeted in their forward insurance estimates for events such as the current flood. Any "hit" is likely to be only short-term, so I don't really see any long-term benefit in wanting to suddenly exit the stock (unless of course you had already planned to). Most of the forward projections I've seen, seem to indicate Suncorp believe they are in a growth phase overall....a temporary fall could of course, represent a buying opportunity for some longer-term focused holders...
