I found these youtube videos eye-opening:
    • The sheer scale is staggering, including the suction (caisson) moorings that might well be the most suitable for use in CETO 6.
    • The fact that the Norwegian state-owned oil company was critically involved in a major renewable energy project is not something that might have happened here (too many blinkers on)
    • The moorings and the bases for the floating turbines should easily be within the manufacturing capability of Australian shipyards that can build submarines
    • They are HUGE, for a power output of 5 MW.  If a CETO 6 can produce anywhere near 1.5 MW, I can't see any reason why wave shouldn't be competitive with wind cost-wise once the technology matures
The Southern Ocean is one of the best wind resources in the world, and with the potential synergies with wave and wind (mooring, transmission indrastructure etc) could make WA an energy powerhouse and great place for energy-intensive industries such as steel making and aluminium refining.
