Yeah may be some truth to it. But then, a few disguntled employees are hardly a water tight case. FLT has a performance culture - an employee either sinks or swims. The sooner a non-performer sinks, the sooner they can do something they are better suited to.
Is paying what the customer will bear equal to a "scam". What do you think happens at JB Hifi, or in fact any retailer. If you sell your car, or home, are you scamming when you try to maximise the sale price?
If I go to a FLT store I expect some fat on the price. If I wanted the lowest price I would DIY on-line. I expect to be charged a little extra to save myself the head ache and the time - as long as I have confidence that the agent is competent enough to quickly narrow down on the best(ish) options.
Trial by media is fine, but reality is a little more nuanced. Nevertheless, I expect management to take the allegations seriously. I expect some relevant discussion in tommorows conference call.
