They'd likely bank the $2m in receipts this quarter, but they won't recognise this revenue until the data is used or it expires. Which will mostly be next quarter (and therefore next FY for FRX).

I'm not sure if this is what @discovery4 is referring to as 'misguided' in their financial statements, but it did fool another UNL troll recently, but as @mal85 explained, and FRX confirmed it quite clearly is an AASB requirement. Unfortunately, it does make it more difficult to compare previous quarters, but rules are rules.

This is why I like the FRX business model. I'm more concerned with cash flow, and more particularly avoiding any further CR.
