Yep, worked at a race club in North Australia in my university days. All very elitist and hierarchical. Managers treat temporary staff like shite. Because they can. Great place for the rich and elites to strut their stuff, show off their wealth and play the power games over the less rich and powerful.

Nothing spared when it came to catering for the members. Didn’t give a stuff about the amenities for the average punter. And it was the average punters dollars that kept the whole business afloat. Pure snobbish bastardry.
