Why would they have their reputation on the line? They will no doubt take a huge clip of whatever funds they raise given the basket case they have taken on and the compressed timeline.
Its all upside for them, if they can’t raise the money it just reinforces RCFs decision to pull out and is no reflection of their ability. If they raise the money on good terms then they look like heroes and get paid handsomely.
