The aquaculture industry in the state of Terengganu is expected to grow by as much as 10 per cent compared with earlier target of just eight per cent.
State Fisheries director Munir Mohd Nawi said last year the industry's production exceeded 6.000 tonnes, the anticipated 10 per cent growth this year would be a big achievement.
Although the production of aquaculture fish was small compared with fishing, were 110.000 tonnes could be obtained a year, its market value was much high due to demand.
