hi hev, if you don't vote or nominate a proxy the company can use you votes anyway they choose.
a lot of people don't vote, big or small holding.
I can't be bothered most of the time and I have sizeable holdings in a few companies.
in this case a lot of people gave their right to vote as a proxy for the Browns.
it was a bit of a surprise to me that it was so close, it just goes to show the old saying " every vote counts "
maybe next year if this situation has not improved we will need to rally the troops and explain how to pass your proxy, it's pretty easy to do.
