With Brazil and Germany being tipped for the World Cup - Statsports in a pretty good position. I'm quite worried it'll be really good publicity for them when they release their 'prosumer' line.

For true professionals (i.e. the more discerning purchasers), they would probably realise that the best teams might have won without the gear, particularly if they only made the switch just before the competition and hadn't been training with the equipment.

What is more relevant should be the teams that do better than expected, and the wearables that they are using, and preferably had been using for a long time.

IF one of CAT's teams can do better than expected, I think that would be a major victory.

CAT teams: Egypt, Sweden, Uruguay, Serbia, Iran, South Korea, Japan and Switzerland among its clients. Australia has also seemingly added Catapult’s wearables to their arsenal.

STATSPorts teams: The likes of England, Belgium, Brazil, Germany, Portugal, Poland, Denmark and Morocco will be putting their faith in STATSports’ wearables.

Anyhow, this all means that I strongly doubt CAT has any hopes of becoming mass market. Hopefully STATSports will become distracted by mass market and let CAT dominate the elite level again.
