My wife takes the Storey Bridge each way every day. She says that since the toll was introduced, she has seen an almost complete reversal in the traffic flows. Prior to the toll, everyone took the tunnel and the bridge was empty. Now, the complete opposite. For example, at around 2.45pm today, she said she saw one car enter the tunnel at Shafston Ave (ie the entrance photographed for that Courier Mail news article I posted),whilst around maybe 30-40 were heading for the bridge.

Just one observation, so make of it what you will.

I guess everyone new this would happen to a certain degree, its just the extent that matters in the end.
