    Hi Birdman,

Its been posted before, but we cannot, should not keep quiet about this.

I have watched it at least half a dozen times and am incredibly impressed...especially with the low altitude, acute angle detail.

About 5-6 years ago, I had several detailed discussions with the then management and some of their technical people (none of that group left) about the real issues about attempting to develop an commercialise a quality 3D product from 2000-3000 ft altitudes. The degrees of technical complexity, processing grunt, algorithm and data management were/are several quanta beyond their then 2D product which, at the time, they were pushing toward (well, some at least) a paywall.

The takeaway was that IPR (NEA) didn't have the resources or capability to walk out a 2D product and concurrently develop the 3D. It was so easy to see the 3D being THE game-changer but IPR would have to wait until the 2D product had established a solid commercial market presence.

So for the last 2 years, they have had the runway and technical resources to go at it. And now its finally out.

I have been waiting for this for a long time. And I'm very happy with what they have achieved. The 2D model was and still is great but it is, over the longer term, a depreciating asset. The 3D product will bring in so many new customer categories and refresh existing ones; it'll certainly support additional sales growth.

High res, flexible 3D is the future of GIS and NEA have clearly announced they are going to be at the forefront of the industry's future.

    Its a game changer.

    Cheers,
