finlayson question, page-2

Hi BQ,
I was doing some research on GTE over the weekend. I sent this to a friend but will copy and paste some of that conversation here:

I can tell you that the projects at Yerrida (Chisel and Finlayson) are not new ones to GTE. They go back at least three years:
I started with Finlayson as there was indication of Ni and Co at that tenement.
Finlayson is to the north and contiguous with the Chisel tenement.
See the attached ‘Cumyu Exploration Update’ ann from late 2014.
I can tell you that the tenements GTE have pending (E51/1855 and E51/1858) were previously E51/1238 and E51/1234 respectively.
They were held in a joint venture with Xstrata Nickel AustralAsia until May of this year when the JV expired. GTE cited that they didn’t have the money to meet the JV spend conditions but note that when the JV was struck they had about 177m SOI and they now have ~850m SOI. So either they chased other prospects or weren’t really interested in the JV.

Chisel is also not new. GTE ann’d on 16/2/2015 that drilling was underway there.
I did a WAMEX search of E53/1713 ‘Yerrida South’ and there is mention of the Paroo Project which eventually led to the discovery of the Magellian Pb mine.


Someone here also made mention of drilling at Mary Queen but that tenement has yet to be granted. I suspect they may have confused that tenement on application with drilling at Yerrida.

Sometime in the future i will get around to looking at previous drilling at Mary Queen. The tenement is very large compared to Chisel/Finlayson and is contiguous.

I am also looking into the Barwidgee tenement E 53/1921 which is also pending application.
