There must have been a great deal of travel required between the Perth HQ and the operations and offices in the USA. That is OK, it is the nature of the business.

Of course when doing this legitimate overseas travel there are expenses involved for flights, restaurants, taxis, tips, entertainment, etc. There is always a balance required between supporting directors and management at a reasonable level and avoiding exploitation of company funds.

Enforcing reasonable travel policy and vetting expense claims is an internal company function. The approval process is similar to the one that approved AMU being the major sponsor of the music concert.
