I suspect that the size of the Ceto 6 buoyant actuator is driven more by the companies that are developing power take off systems, than the other way around.
Some of the images I have posted, are of PTOs that are gigantic.
I see CCE being mostly about providing the platform for PTO companies wanting to deploy their respective technologies.
Another reason they can go big, is that the BA is submerged. Even in high energy locations, there is a degree of safety in extreme conditions.

Something I have been thinking for a long time, is that no one wave energy device, will suit all situations.
To me, collaborations involving various wave and offshore wind technologies will probably occur.
I am thinking we might see a WA collaboration between Ceto, Bombora and Protean, all working together.
