I am not saying the product is comparable to NEA and not concerned by Eagleview, the markets are big enough for both and I am confident that NEA has the superior product, not only on the imagery front, but more so in the software / product use space.
First mover advantage, with a superior product is compelling though and would probably save shareholders some money in the long term as well, given some of the early revenue wins might have disappeared if you enter the market 18 months later than your competitor.
Expansion needs to be managed carefully and NEA are clearly gearing up for expansion into new markets, but the growth in the Aus/US market will likely easily outpace what it would cost to set up in the UK (per quarter) in a fairly short period of time anyway, so can be funded by cash flow anyway.
The key is we probably can't afford to do both Canada and the UK at exactly the same time, so that is the challenge for management to get right.
