Justis - you are quite the charmer - so I have no doubt you'll get exactly the partner you are looking for - if you are looking, that is.
I also have a sneaking suspicion that what one is looking for isn't always what one actually gets or falls in love with - so an open mind is mandatory.
When my husband was around, we often had guests and despite my full-time work commitment and his as well, we couldn't have lived without at least a monthly cook-up for friends, or a barbeque.
I've got this wonderful photo of my husband, down in our little house in Bunbury, where he had ripped the front off and built an arch and included the 'verandah' inside the house - there he is in this new addition with a huge jug of cider (he was into 'making his own cider' - won a first prize the year before he died) looking like the proverbial good host, still dark hair, moustache, big smile . . . . and surrounded by people - he looks like he stepped out from a Strauss operetta - or maybe bush ranger country, seeing we are in Australia not Austria.
I tried to continue this when I moved into the Hills, my first 'party' was for 45 people, but one of the men volunteered to attend to barbeque duties -
it was a hit, but I was soooo tired afterwards.
Then I did 2 more similar ones, dress-up parties, this time, one with Hawaian theme, the other? just all sorts; - both hugely enjoyed by my guests, but my hip pocket and nerves etc. are no longer up to those marathons.
So I can empathise with you loving to cook for people. I go easy on it nowadays - 6 is more than enough.
Cheers
