Some excellent posts on this thread. As always, madamswer and MarsC give some of the best analysis and insights available on hotcopper.

Bought a small parcel of bol today @ 7.3c (around 1.5% of total stock exposure). The risk/reward dynamics stack up in my opinion. Simultaneously a P/B and earnings turnaround investment, in my view the two are interlinked as companies should be able to generate a reasonable return on their net assets over the longer term, if not, sell them (or install management that are better stewards of capital). They seem to have been doing that, i.e. selling excess assets that weren't generating a return. This has fallen more than 98% from its peak 10 years ago. Calling it out of favour or unpopular would be understating it a little.

Will form part of my cigar butt portfolio.
