Seriously, this is interesting stuff - it also goes along with some of the findings in relation to Crohn's disease treatment and the benefit that some intestinal worms make on the patient's symptoms.
Basically we are "too clean" inside these days. Not simply from antibiotics, but the over cleanliness of our food and environment. As kids of my age (54) will attest, we all ate dirt, got muddy, and were subject to a healthy "challenge" of bacteria on a daily basis. Nowdays kids stay inside on their iGadgets playing computer games with helicopter parents wiping any and every surface their kids may come into contact with antibacterial/antiviral wipes.
