The WA State Governments move to introduce licence fees to recreational fishing is a load of crock, and just another way of raising a tax. Fishing recreationally will have to pay an annual licence fee, it is expected to earn the Government about $4 million a year, bag and boat limits were imposed in January which is fine but they just don't look at the big pitcher.

The fishing Minister said tough measures were necessary given the scientific evidence pointing to the collapse of key species if current fishing levels continued.

It is industrial fishing that is emptying the seas of fish,
fishing trawlers with big nets globally scooping anything in it's path, if this method is not done in a sustainable way it wont be key species that will collapse but all fish in our oceans.

Scientists have predicted that if we continue fishing as we are now, we will see the end of most seafood by 2048.
