Defence Profits Soar At Farnborough Airshow
This year's Farnborough International Airshow has been hugely successful within the defence sector, with a big increase in orders.
It has seen $192billion of deals done and orders placed.
According to organisers, there has been an increase of $67.5billion compared to the last show in 2016.
Days before the show opens to the public, it attracts around 100,000 trade visitors from 100 countries, where the primary focus is on networking and deals.
Many of those deals would have been in the defence sector, and coming just 37 weeks before Brexit, industry professionals have said it shows confidence in the British defence manufacturing sector, despite Brexit uncertainties.
