The resource you're referring to is based on drilling results before they started the trial. As they develop the ore drives this will change with more data becoming available increasing their confidence in the numbers. For example, MML an underground miner, has inferred resources based on drilling results that are only upgraded to indicated status when more confidence is gained from ore drive development.
I think we're seeing something similar here. The upper ore drive level is where the higher widths occur (e.g. figure 8). Presumably this level has had more development and the new information used to update the resource in July. This is consistent with my interpretation of the changes between the Jan and July announcements that I posted here before (more tonnage, lower overall grade).
I didn't conveniently forget to mention Figure 9, it's just that Figure 8 goes a long way to explain the changes as I see them... it's what I expected actually. In fact, the larger widths seen in the upper level may actually be better for the operation... in particular less mining dilution than the higher grade 2m widths on level 420.
This will all come out in the wash eventually, but I'm expecting more tonnage and lower grade based on the information to date... I certainly don't expect 5.6 head grades through the plant, but hey I could be wrong.
