Yes always some inaccuracies in what I and probably everyone posts. Dad was Max Garling lawyer. Son was Nick Garling (damn spellcheck) also trained lawyer I think but went to broking instead hence capability to raise big $$ by promotion of the “JORC” done by the Canadian expat Geo.

Obviously all unravelled post GFC blues and also in 2013/4 due to the Russians Chillee pulling plug. Still ended up good for MNM/AUL who got that amazing asset for $4mill plus royalty (typical 10c in the $ out of admin).

And yes maybe there were other great mines in the 60s and MStar was up there and very interesting that they were similar types of mines and run by WMC they knew their business as did ACM who WMC absorbed 2or 30 yrs later.

PS the ACM gold team left and privately setup MPI acquired Stawell and built Silver Swan. Ken Fletcher and Brian Phillips et al. Ken killed in car crash but Brian still kicking and now Chairs WRM with our NED Matt Gill as MD. Tom our CEO was UG mine manager for MPI.
