I wish you luck, I went through VCAT as a tennant and was awarded ~ 8weeks rent. Just make sure you have the chain of events well documented and on hand. If it is similar to VCAT they should send you by recorded post the claim and their supporting documents.
Make sure you know what you want rewarded from the court decision, put a resonable dollar value on everything you feel you deserve and "show working" to get that figure.
