It may be that we have seen the last bout of financial support from the sophies. There's no request from management that I'm aware of at the moment.

Every speccie over the years that has gone into VA all had Top 20 shareholders and some had substantial investors. All of those investors would have done their dough. None are spared.

It's obvious somebody at some time will exploit OBL's assets. Sophies believed OBL would be front and centre supported by a big major with expertise and cash. Newregime was mentioning Apache Energy way back when.

I think Apache Energy would be interested with other Majors but only in a distressed sale. I read an article written by The CEO of Apache Energy about 2 years ago who stated that it was a strategy in the US to wait until little explorers have no means to raise any more cash and their assets are picked up at a firesale price. Majors have the power to wait out a long down cycle. Little explorers like OBL are on the clock. It makes good business sense to wait it out to pick a bargain.

Will sophies support management with cash in the future ? It would make a good head to head bet on sportsbet. I like a bet and I'd back NO.
