Final or half year accounts must be submitted to ASX by 31 August or the company is suspended. That is why there generally is a flurry of activity from companies in the last few days.

There is no good reason to delay until the last minute unless the company is scratching around looking for more positive ways of presenting the figures.

I don’t know what NSP will do this year. Last year it was 31 August. NSP’s prelim final reports have generally been in the last few days except in 2010 when, on 17 August, it announced the company’s first big profit.
