Shorts don't give a clear picture as you don't the offsetting position if there is one. Be it pairs like selling OSH and buying WPL or just stock covering options right down to synthetics sold hedged against borrowed sold stock. I won't be surprised to see the level of shorts evaporate without much upwards pressure on price. . What I am saying is that I wouldn't rely on a large short squeeze
