Plenty of other companies in the region have been able to raise cash and URL has already raised equity and debt recently. GFC or not, its not that hard if you can show a probable return to investors and there's plenty of interest n the region. The probable reason they have trouble raising large amounts of equity is that they continually burn their existing shareholders with fire-sale dilution. Sound capital management means you issue as little as necessary while your share price is low and do what you can to build it between raisings. You look after your existing shareholders by giving them the chance to participate if it has to be done at a discount.

Increasing you shares on issue by 500% when your share price is near all time lows is utter stupidity. Not allowing share holders to vote on it is verging on theft, and allowing the chairman the same discount, while not offering it to other shareholders, is corrupt.
