Awful times for PPT - it went to less that $30 today. I am very rueful, because I bought when they were around $50 ... ouch! I am hanging on, and waiting for better days. They were a major shareholder in RCR. But, aside from that, their conservative stock picking policy has apparently alienated investors. It does not offer the dizzy returns, which one gets, for example, on CSL. And the RCR disaster makes one think that their "conservative" evaluations were not so sound at all.
But things will pick up. PPT has a lot of assets in management, and a lot of income from trustee fees. Overall, markets are overreacting at present, IMO.
