This could be one of the reasons for the increase in activity over the last 2 days, refer Key's announcement April 1.

EXPIRY OF ESCROW PERIOD AND EXPIRED OPTIONS
In accordance with listing rule 3.10A, Key Petroleum Ltd advises that the escrow period for 11,028,333 ordinary shares will expire on 26 April 2009.
Consequently, these ordinary shares will cease to be subject to escrow after this date."
If this is the case, we could see the recent trend continue for a while yet IMO
