One of the other interesting aspects is the connection between the Canton Lead and NML's ground. The Canton lead is famous as one of the richest shallow alluvial gold discoveries anywhere in the world. The richest section was supposedly 8 feet by 5 feet by a little over 3 ft deep and is credited with over 1.7 tonnes of gold. I'd be shocked if we found any areas like that but it underwrites the philosophy the company is follwing, the source (reef) of that gold was never found (until now I suspect). The shallow drilling so far has exceeded everyones expectations but be in no doubt, the main game will start to unfold in the next few weeks. At these levels, my shareholding will start creeping up again although I'm breaking my rules for % allocation in a single stock. (Hopefully a couple of other likelies I have will help rebalance but...)
