Splendid news.

BOS is confident. They have bought the equipment and negotiated field trials and the results are still interim. Admittedly the product has been shown to work even better with biocides so the final results are likely to be remarkable.

No one hands over their oilfield lightly either. The oilfield owners must be satisfied with the trials to date.

What interests me is the environmental question. If this product is being used live its use must be reasonably safe. This may simply be that the compound is being pumped into the ground/seabed or the system is sealed. Or, ideally, it is that the compound is benign.

Environmental requirements may be a marketing plus for BOS rather than straight cost. This could be important as conventional biocides are quite cheap.

This is looking very, very good. The only other thing I can say is, …. whew. ;)
