    hi Rocket,
    The children strategy is one we have looked at before, but in my case it only cleans up some of the problem, but I would rather my children had the benefit than the tax man. A minor hassle is that I like to be even handed with  them , so sorting out how to do that with one having a different balance and contributions, still a work in progress in my mind. The partial use of an industry fund is to clean up what is left, and it seems useful as holding pattern.
    Perhaps for others, with less resources, less time, less interest , the industry funds will be the preferred option overall. 
    We can compare notes after , or if, the policy comes in.
    Successful mitigation will be measured by how close we can get to a similar yield to now ,with similar risks.
