I have been saying this since November.

I met GL in Sydney between roadshow presentations and asked about the possibility of returning more cash to shareholders in the event that no acquisitions stacked up (going back in time to the sale of CCP they seemed to be interested in looking as far away as Africa for opportunities). GL indicated that a favoured option is to purchase a defined gold resource and move the plant from WD to this new location to maintain their cashflows.

This recent article reinforces that intention.

I am guessing Lionel has had similar indications from GL.
