I prefer looking at operating profit and performance rather than once-off, never-to-reoccur tax benefits in evaluating whether to invest in a company.

I'm not sure how this carried forward tax benefit went through the P & L rather than as a reserve in shareholders equity on the balance sheet. The accounting standards need revising if the majority seem to think that GRB traded profitably for the 6 months to 31 Dec.
