They could put ore on barges about 100 kms away from the mine site comparing mode of transport to WA is not relevant, this is more like how they barge coal in Kalimantan or Kentucky .
As to having to take it all the way to the pilot plant , there is a decent sized city a few hundred kms directly North of the proposed mine site that I imagine they could put in a pilot plant at if they are not going to put one on site .
