Some more crumbs of news. French retail has been improving a little and Germany's is straight sideways. Meanwhile the Spanish government has come up with a $us12.5 billion assistance package for Spanish banks. Australian retail spend up 1% last quarter. Thats the positives.
Things still pretty sour in E Europe and Greece the latter of which is overrun with Romanians, Bulgarians and Albanians etc.according to a Greek neighbour who just returned here. Crime is very high. Dangerous to walk around at night in the big cities now.
