China has gold buyers all through Africa buying Gold from all those illegal little holes in the ground and anybody that will sell them Gold.
There is absolutely no way of knowing how much Gold China has bought in the last 5 - 10 years, people speculate using different sets of figures put out by different organisations but there is no way of knowing. A lot of the Gold China buys is unregistered but they have been buying a lot.
