Not sure if many holders, especially new comers, know the close relationship between WBT and Eucalyptus Growth Capital.
All three founding partners of Eucalyptus are very high calibre. And to top that off two of them are our directors and Executive Chairman - in line with their stated strategy of helping late stage Israeli tech companies.
These are Eucalyptus's Advisory Board - very very high up and well connected in the right industry:
Atiq Raza:
Current CEO of Calient
Eyal Waldman:
- Former President & COO AMD
- Founder and CEO RMI , M&A with Netlogic, merged with Broadcom
- Serial founder and leadership of several successful companies
- Samsung technical advisory board
Irwin Federman:
- President and CEO Mellanox
- VP of R&D and Co-founder Galileo Technology Ltd
- M&A with Marvell
- One of Israel's most successful serial entrepreneurs
Lip Bu-Tan:
- General Partner of US Venture Partners
- CEO of Monolithic Memories and Vice Chair of Advanced Micro Devices after merger of the two companies
- Two term Chairman of Semiconductor Industry Association
- Chairman of Mellanox Technolgy
- Serves boards of Check Point Software, SanDisk and Intermolecular and several private companies
- Trustee of SF museum of Modern Art and Brooklyn College
- BA in Economics from Brooklyn College and Honorary PhD in Engineering Science from Santa Clara University
Mark Lesllie:
- CEO of Cadence Design Systems INC
- General Partner of Walden Group
- Former CEO Veritas
- Former CEO Ragged Digital & Synapse
- Lecturer in Management Science and Engineering, Stanford School of Engineering, 2002
Weebit seems to have everything of what it takes to become very successful and big:
* An Israeli tech startup
* A disruptive tech planning to replace the incumbent
* Invented in a World renowned University in the US by a World renowned scientist who happened to be an Israeli
* Run by very high calibre people
* Backed by very high calibre people
There is no hype. They have not been trying to hype the company like many pumps and dumps on the ASX's speccy end. They have a plan and are executing it accordingly. Their objective is to commercialise Weebit and not be taken out too early.
I do a lot of short term trades but WBT is one of those bottom draw type of hold for me.
