re: transaction I bought shares in the float and was an agent selling telephony for Tele2000 (now EMT) back in 2000 when it floated.
I believe that the company has been approached by Cardinal Communications, as per the AFR article, the day after the ASX release, a company associated with Dave Weismann. He is a big hitter from the US and is poised to take EMT out.
The Directors have been travelling, and last time I called the Sydney office, the receptionist siad that Dykes was in Singapore...........I have done some homework in this space and the conclusion that I make is that EMT is talking to Inter-touch who was recently taken out by the Telco giant Do-Co-Mo for approx $70M. They provide internet to hotels such as Rydges and have previously (Back in 2003) done a deal with EMT re Asia.
I am now re-considering bying back into this stock.
