Entertainment Media & Telecoms Corporation Limited (ETC), today announced the company has successfully acquired the Hospitality Entertainment business of Verizon Select Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of US telecommunications giant Verizon communications. The EMT advised that the USD$1.5m deal contributes a net positive cash flow to it in excess of USD$80,000 per month from contracted hotel sites. As the North American channel partner for General Dynamics, Verizon developed a digital video on demand system under the brand “VuScape.” Approximately 2,500 rooms in several fivestar hotels across the United States which are currently under contract for the VuScape service. The EMT acquisition includes all Hotel contractual rights, the “VuScape” brand and trademark, equipment, assets and licences related to the ongoing supply and maintenance of Digital Video on Demand (DVOD) and High Speed Internet Access (HSIA) for Hotel customers previously contracted to Verizon Select Services, Inc.
