Zadig, The flow rates that you are thinking of seem particularly low. Are you working on a horizontal or vertical well formation?
A good comparison to make field for field is hartshorne coal formations in the US. Dry tight coals with initial vertical wells having maximum flows of 30 - 40,000 cu. feet/day compared to horizontal wells running at 1 - 2 million cu.feet /day. The trick is to find the correct horizontal drilling technique.
Fos2 ran into troubles due to incorrect sizing of the pump casing, simply can't put a 5.5" pump case down a 5" hole stupid as it sounds it does happen because the drillers didn't check or comment on and the co. didn't check. Since then there has been a funding issue and at the moment markets have not been in the right mood to fund early stage exploration. Read about 3 weeks ago that the ASX has not had a speccy float for 18 months.
Have a look at Hartshorne, the americans are at the leading edge of development techniques. My understanding was that the Saars trials were all verticals using old techniques
