As far as the yanks are concerned you can love em or hate em, believe they are doing it for world wide democracy or their own financial and world power.
As an Aussie I am so pleases I don't speak German, live in a Japanese POW camp or live in poverty as many many Russians did during the cold war and many still do.
I am pleased that my family and I can have full access to international news and the internet and wont be assassinated for falling asleep after being ordered to stand for 5 hrs in a parade to see Kim Jong-in. I am also pleased my family doesn't disappear or that I don't have to spend 20 years in Gaol for protesting against a new policy implemented by Xi Jinping and who wants to work 14 hours a day in Siberia because they complained that they would like to own a home of their own..
I am more than happy to live in a democratic society in the best country in the world which is the envy of many other potentially hostile nations in the world and in order to keep the status quo happy to call the US a friend!
I don't always agree with my friends but I always appreciate their help as they do mine.
