Woolworths' high-profile former chief Roger Corbett has refused to back the boss of Australia's biggest supermarket chain and lashed the retailer for not competing on price or quality with German discount giant Aldi on his way out the door.
Outgoing adviser Mr Corbett refused to comment on talk of a souring in the relationship between him and chief executive Brad Banducci or whether he was the right man to lead the transformation of Woolworths.
"I wouldn't refute or confirm that, I just wouldn't comment on it," he said.
