I have problems when I restrict my salt too much as I have always perspired freely especially with sport or physical work and if I don't take salt tablets I get headaches and suffer from cramps
We eat very little processed food and almost no take-aways so really the only salt we have is the stuff naturally in food and what we add

The salt thing is that salt was aimed at restricting high blood pressure which my wife suffers with and when the doctor stated that she had to stop taking salt we said what salt which slowed him down a bit

It all comes down to those words  -- moderation in all things
