My experience was similar, the doctors and specialists were very caring and tried very hard, did a multitude of tests but still couldn't give me a diagnosis. They then made me very ill treating my symptoms with drugs. Like you I visited Dr. Google and did a lot of trial and error, I now manage my condition and have a better quality of life. It is very frustrating to see friends and relatives when they become ill and then get into the revolving door of the medical industry, I try to advise them to do some research and take some responsibility for their health but they put their trust in the Dr. and their health rapidly deteriorates.
