Well, its a theory and it involves a conspiracy, so I think that would meet most reasonable definitions of the term "conspiracy theory". That doesn't necessarily mean its wrong, of course.
But I see more political and media support for renewable energy than for coal and I don't think that's part of some huge conspiracy, although no doubt many people do.
